I've been to one of the local perfumeries, and guess what — the shelves were stocked with Bvlgari Aqva colognes (personally, I'm more link of a Chanel guy, but still).I purchased the dark grey version of the Galli S1 38mm – which is dramatically described as "Iceland Stone" – for myself, from the HODINKEE Shop, shortly after I recently spoke with Galli for a story on his background in the watch industry and the success of the collection that bears his name. I was intrigued by what exactly a high-end – but not too high-end – Timex could be. With the release of the SLGH021, Grand Seiko ushers in its latest experiment in textural dial designs, unveiling a new patterning created through its molding techniques.</br> The white-dial version has a clean, almost architectural appeal; it showcases the structure of the movement in a very airy way, and the bold, black-edged hands and indexes stand out crisply against the white backdrop, so legibility remains excellent.The Oris Altimeter Rega is a PVD-coated limited edition of the company's self-winding mechanical altimeter, featuring the logo of the Swiss Air Rescue Guard (known as Rega) at 9 o'clock, and the likeness link of an EC 145 helicopter used during rescue missions, embossed on the case back.The unique capabilities of the F-16 snap into focus during the solo demonstration passes. The first maneuver performed is typically the knife-edge pass, and this is where mechanical timekeeping comes into play.
